Since 2010 — Our Modest Home With a Big Heart

In 2010, we rented and moved into a very simple house in the countryside near Doi Saket.
At the time, we had no other place to go — our savings were gone, and life was still uncertain.
But we had each other, and we had hope.

The house itself was humble and in tired condition when we arrived.
There were no comforts, no fancy finishing — only bare walls, old tiles, and a roof that needed attention.
Yet from the moment we stepped through the gate, we felt something special: a sense of peace, and room to breathe again.

What we did have was the land — a large garden stretching behind the house, quiet and full of possibility.
Slowly, tree by tree, seed by seed, Ann planted life into the soil.
Year after year, the garden grew — tall shade trees, fruit trees, bright flowers, and winding paths shaped by nature herself.

Today, that once–empty yard feels like a private park, almost a small forest — filled with birdsong, sunlight through leaves, and gentle mountain breezes.
Our home remains simple, but the peace it gives us is priceless.

We made only modest improvements over the years — just enough to make the house safe and comfortable.
Nothing fancy, always practical.
But every corner holds a memory, every tree tells a story, and every morning begins with beauty just outside our door.

Below, the video will show you our lovely neighborhood, and then you will see photos — the last group taken when we first arrived, and others more recently.

The video and the photos tell the story better than words ever could:
How a humble place became a sanctuary through patience, love, and time.

I hope you’ll see the photos from when we moved in...
