About This Website
This website was created in July 2025 as a personal tribute — and as a heartfelt “Thank You” to the Thai people, whose kindness and generosity have shaped my life for more than 30 years.
It is not a travel guide, nor a promotion of tourism, but a reflection on life itself — on how unforeseen events can change everything, and how nature and human compassion can help us heal.
Through words and images, I share my journey from abundance to loss, and from loss to renewal — a story of how Thailand, with its gentle people and tranquil landscapes, became both my home and my place of healing.
I hope that these pages may offer encouragement to anyone, anywhere, who is facing hardship or uncertainty — a reminder that even after life’s greatest storms, peace and gratitude can be found again.
How to Read This Website
This website is built like a quiet walk through memory.
If you wish to follow my story simply, the entire journey can be read following the Timeline on the Home Page — from my first months in Thailand to the peaceful life I am fortunate to live today.
Just scroll, year by year, and the path unfolds naturally, without needing to click anywhere.
Along the way, you will see small invitations to “Photo Gallery & More.”
These links are optional — they open windows into special moments, meaningful places, and memories that photos and short videos tell better than words.
Whether you stay on the main path or explore the side trails, I hope you find something here that warms your heart, brings a smile, or reminds you that life’s beauty often rests in its quietest chapters.
Finally, a note to my Norwegian friends and readers:
Although Norway will always be my homeland, I have now lived in Thailand for more than thirty years. During that time, English and Thai have become my daily languages.
My Norwegian is still part of me, but it has understandably become a little rusty after so long without speaking or writing it regularly.
For that reason, I chose to share my story here in English — simply because it feels more natural for me today, and allows me to express my experiences and emotions more clearly.
